At Miss Ellies, we firmly believe that it is our responsibility to give something back to those in need. In order to further influence this view, the entrepreneurs has partnered with organisation like Sympathy, a UK registered charity, (1136538).
Miss Ellies supports with Sympathy to bring some relief and assistance to those that have underprivileged conditions. Fortunately life expectancy is becoming longer; regrettably this also brings isolation, abandonment and shortage of resources in aged people’s lives, especially in the developing nations around the world. There they are in constant battle with poverty, seclusion and neglect.
The business owners currently have committed to contribute over £4000.00 yearly and also introduce poly-boxes in every branch of Miss Ellies to help generate additional funds.
During the past year, we ran our first preliminary program in Houston, Texas of collecting unwanted items like Women, Men, Kids clothing, and toys named “Lets Donate Unwanted Items.” We successfully managed to send one full container load of items to Karachi that was sold at a pre-arranged Bachat Bazaar by Sympathy that generated over $18,000 US Dollars. All proceedings directed to support more poor, isolated, and neglected aged. This approach also supported Sympathy to originate new project known as Income Support Program. This current year, we are running our second project, in London, of collecting unwanted items. We encourage our customers to bring their unwanted items to any of our branch and we would ship the goods to Sympathy’s warehouse at our cost. All donations collected from the sale of items will certainly aids Sympathy continue with their current goal as well as to produce new project like Education Support Programme. Sympathy is seeking to generate around £9000 (12,51000 Rupees), which could enable Eighty-four children to go to school for a complete academic year. Miss Ellies whole-heartedly invites all customers to participate in and help make this particular programme successful.
Miss Ellies would like to thank all the customers in advance for their support. Please call or email us if you have any questions or need more details about “Lets Donate Unwanted Items.” (Last Updated on 29th April 2011) |
